I'm going to fire up my PS2 and rally my MR2 in GT4. Part of my "I'm unwell" series of rally cars, which also includes an xB.

Ugh, discs. I went to the midnight launch of GTA V, got home with a disc and sure enough it would freeze up constantly. I bought a few PSN cards and bought the game again from teh PSN store and it has been pretty trouble free.
I'm on my second PS3 and had a few PS2, all failure related to the optical lens. I'm done with discs unless I absolutely have to.
That and I'm on the west coast which means I start DL'ing at 9pm.

And...I have to wait for the Amazon Prime box to arrive. Worst part: apparently, a copy addressed to me arrived at the R&T Ann Arbor office today. Which would have kicked ass IF ONLY I WORKED AT THAT OFFICE.
Anyhow, I eagerly await Productivity Stops O'Clock tomorrow.

Indeed. With a seat from a Corolla or some such thing, IIRC.

No shame there. I was a controlleroller for a long time, even in to the start of online league racing, and going to the wheel isn't as intuitive as you would think it should be.

Last time I was at R&T HQ, I played with the wheel rig. It was...pretty ugly for me.

I used to have a wheel setup for my PS2 using a bucket seat from an 89 Grandam. I miss that.

What kind of wheel?
It is something you have to give a reasonable amount of practice to. Heck, even with a few years of league racing under my belt, having not been able to get much seat time in this summer and fall my performance has suffered and my stats on iRacing show it. I get the feeling golfers know what I'm talking about.
Anyone on the staff alien quick?

Oh, by the way, I just wanted to say that R&T has been my favourite car mag for years. I can remember as a teenager reading the other ampersand car mag because the closest store carried it. I read a lot about average every day cars that I had no interest in. One day I had an epiphany about the name of the magazine and their content. The road and the track were what interested me, so your guys' magazine was the one for me.

Man, I don't think I'll be able to get GT6 until January. . . I'll be stuck with GT5 until then. . . I know I'll end up getting it sooner or later as I've pretty much got GT5 A-spec beat I only have the crazy supercar race series that has that damn wet race and I just can't get it down. And the enduro races I don't have the attention span to try a 24 hour race spread out over a few days. . .
Have fun with GT6.

I forget which one it is. I want to say it's a Logitech.
Not sure who the current fastest shoe is. The office has a board next to the GT rig with everyone's fastest times. The benchmark for that is Laguna Seca with the Jeff Gordon Sprint Cup car, TC off.
I'll ask Kierstein which wheel they have out there. I have a Gioteck GR-1 that I'm going to try out in earnest with with GT6.

It's a wireless "wheel" that works like a Wiimote does with Mario Kart. It still takes getting used to, but it's the best blend of the familiar controller experience with actual turning (for me) so far.
